Classical School of Wichita is seeking additional faculty for the 2017-2018 school year. After beginning in 2006, CSW has grown steadily and currently enrolls 289 students.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, a familiarity with classical pedagogy and be well-versed in their field of study. They must be competent to create lesson plans and to teach students according to their age and maturity.
CSW is specifically seeking:
Grammar School Fine Arts teacher. They need to have a robust knowledge of art history, styles and techniques.
Grammar School Physical Education teacher. They should have the ability to participate with children in physical activity, an understanding of physical development in children along with appropriate exercises, and a general understanding of the rules of a variety of sports.
7-12th Grade Math/Science teacher. In math, they need to have the ability to teach pre algebra to precalculus. In science, they need to have the ability to teach most, if not all, of the following: Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. A preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in a scientific discipline.
