Mrs. Heidi Wilkey

Mrs. Heidi Wilkey teaches fifth grade at CSW. She has a degree in elementary education from Geneva College. Long before she joined staff, she worked as a parent volunteer at CSW, helping with numerous activities and events, leading PTF and providing graphic design services for school.

Mrs. Wilkey and her family attend Heartland Community Church. She and her husband, Nathan, have been married for 25 years and have five children — Ellie (18),  Janie (16), Sam (13), Nevi (12) and Millie (9).  They also have a golden retriever, Jacks, two cats, Bob and Billy, and a lizard, Randall, who claim the Wilkey name.

In her free time, Mrs. Wilkey enjoys doing graphic design projects, watching her kids play sports, cooking, and listening to podcasts. She is inspired by an organized space, an open schedule and company to cook for.

Mrs. Wilkey says what she loves the most about classical education is the intentional, organized and timeless building of skills that work together to achieve the mission of our school.

“Getting to witness my own children learn and apply these skills as they work their way through the grades at CSW has been awe-inspiring,” she says, adding that seeing and coaching others through this process is what drew her back into teaching after taking time to raise her family.

“What excites me most is getting to know and love my students as we grow as a class family and connect through hard work and lots of learning.”
