Mrs. Jackie Langhofer
Mrs. Jackie Langhofer teaches Latin I, Latin II and Latin Recovery at CSW. Latin I, Latin II, and Latin Recovery. Mrs. Langhofer attended Belhaven University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance.
Langhofer and her husband, Blake, have been married for five years and have two sons, Wyatt (3) and Brooks (1). They attend Journey the Way church.
In her freetime, she enjoys playing music with her husband, as well as gardening, reading and baking.
A graduate of a 7-12 classical school in Jackson, Mississippi, Langhofer says she appreciates how the classical method requires students to really think about what they believe to be true and not just spout back textbook answers.
“It creates students who have contemplated who they are and who God is on a much deeper level than students of other educational philosophies might be encouraged to,” she said.
In her daily life and in the classroom, Langhofer says she is inspired by those who live according to their ideals regardless of difficulty or opposition.
“Naturally, this makes me love Jesus, because he lived for God’s kingdom, not to please the men around him,” she said. “I am also inspired by men like Dietrich Bonhoeffer and women like Elizabeth Elliot and Sally Clarkson.”
