Mrs. Sarah Roush
Mrs. Sarah Roush teaches 6th grade history and literature, and serves as the librarian at CSW. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and has completed two years of graduate work in special education and mild learning disabilities. Prior to joining the CSW staff, she served as a substitute teacher at CSW and was the administrative assistant for the PTF.
She and her family attend First Evangelical Free Church. Mrs. Roush and her husband, David, have been married 16 years and have three students at CSW — Tyler (15), Andrew (12) and Hannah (10). Rounding out their family is a sweet Jackadoodle named Winter.
Mrs. Roush plays cello and enjoys hiking and being in the mountains when her family gets the chance to travel. Her favorite pastime, however, is spending time with her kids.
She is inspired by helping others and watching the success that comes out of hard work. The aspect she most appreciates about classical education is how it teaches children to be critical thinkers.
“I enjoy finding out what inspires kids to learn and then watching their thought processes,” she says. “I love helping them through tough skills or concepts.”
