CSW families,
I want to bring your attention to an opportunity coming up next week. CSW Upper School Teacher, Mr. Dan Snyder, will be presenting a selection from his inservice instruction, “How to Read a Book”, 6:30pm at CSW.
Often as parents we mention the fact that we operate from a educational deficit. Most of us were not blessed with a classical Christian education. We recognize the deficit with which we have been left. CSW strives to ensure our students do not grow up with a similiar deficit. We desire our students to flourish in an environment and pedagogy that saturates them in the True, Good, and Beautiful. A piece of that pedagogy resides in reading books—many books—books that most modern education models ignore or have long forgotten.
In an effort to repair the ruins of our culture and support our families in the education of their children, CSW is offering this inservice on “How to Read a Book”. If you ever wondered about the reading load in upperschool or how our students process the amount of information that is being presented, you will not want to miss this.
We are only able to accomodate CSW families at this time. Please, RSVP to the office.
