Mrs. Kristin Yost

Mrs. Kristin Yost is CSW’s K-2 Literacy Specialist. She holds a degree in elementary education from Wichita State University and has received Literacy Intervention Specialist training from the Fundamental Learning Center.

She and her husband, Russ, have five children, including Addison, Graham, Eleanor, and Silas who attend CSW, and Lily, who can’t wait till it’s her turn to join her sibilings! A dog named Ranger, a cat called Luna, and Sir Hiss, a lovable Ball Python, round out their crew.

Mrs. Yost loves reading, exercising and traveling in her down time.

She says she is inspired by reading and the chance to pass this love to CSW students as she helps them grow in their abilities to read and comprehend the written word, which is foundational to their education at CSW.

“I love that classical education guides students to evaluate everything in this world through a Christ-like worldview. Systematic and deliberate instruction about God’s Word and how it applies to the culture around us is consistent at every stage of learning,” she says, adding, “CSW places such a high value on incorporating quality literature in the classroom and I am thrilled to be able to offer additional support/resources for grammar school students who are just beginning to read.”
