Mrs. Danielle Poe
Mrs. Danielle Poe is entering her eighth year at CSW where she serves as the Grammar School art instructor. Prior to joining the CSW staff, she taught third grade, fourth grade and fifth grade art at Victory Christian Academy in Lakewood, Colorado.
Mrs. Poe earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Colorado Christian University where she majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Reading and Literature. Additionally, she has experience in Biblical studies from her time at Manhattan Christian College, as well as a certificate in Learning Disabilities.
Mrs. Poe also previously worked as a fitness coach at Curves, taught third and fourth grade in Denver, Colorado and spent time as the owner/operator of Poetic Painting.
Mrs. Poe and her husband, Nathan, have four children — Lillee, Silas, Gideon and Eliza — and a 10-pound Mastiff named Hank. The family, minus Hank, attends Journey the Way church.
Mrs. Poe has a passion to see art flowing out of the history and literature programs. When thinking about her experiences at public and Christian schools, Mrs. Poe writes, “While working at [Victory Christian Academy], I became aware of the difference between the Christian students in the private schools versus the Christians in public [schools]. The private school students didn’t seem so lost or confused with what the world’s media was streaming to them. They were more focused on what God thought of them than what the world thought.”
